Never one to mince words, Dana White didn’t seem thrilled with Ciryl Gane’s (8-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) this past Saturday.

The UFC president told longtime MMA reporter Kevin Iole, “Everybody’s talking about Ciryl being this big contender, but look at what Francis Ngannou did to Jairzinho. This was his coming out party and his chance to show the world who he is. He won, but let’s leave it at that. He won.”

The heavyweight title picture is fairly tied up at the moment. Champion Stipe Miocic has a title defense queued up against Ngannou. After that, the winner is likely to take on ex-light heavyweight champ Jon Jones in his heavyweight debut. But White implied Gane didn’t do himself any favors to jump the line with a grind-it-out win over Rozenstruik in the UFC Fight Night 186 main event.

Gane responded after the fight and said he gets the criticism from the boss, even if he didn’t agree with it.

Naturally, we had to ask our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of “Gorgeous” George Garcia, Brian “Goze” Garcia and Nolan King if White’s comments went too far. The trio weighed in during this week’s episode alongside moderator Simon Head.

You can watch that discussion in the video above. The full episode can be seen below.
