Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced its 2021 regular season will be held in a “state-of-the-art bubble” inside Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, an environment which should not be unfamiliar to fans with knowledge of “Fight Island.”

PFL protocols are expected to include daily COVID-19 tests, mask requirements, and fighter quarantines prior to each show. In addition, full training facilities and meal services will be available onsite to athletes, who are required to arrive 17 days in advance of each event.

“PFL is excited to be back on ESPN to showcase our MMA 2.0 product – featuring returning champions, new star signings and next generation SmartCage technology innovation,” said PFL CEO, Peter Murray. “Our six regular season events will be staged at the world-class Ocean Casino Resort where we’ve held successful events in the past. The property has all of the necessary amenities to support our athletes in a bubble environment to ensure their safety as it relates to COVID-19.”

The 2021 regular season gets underway on April 23 on ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ with former UFC champion Anthony Pettis making his PFL debut opposite Clay Collard. Two-time PFL champions Natan Schulte and Lance Palmer will also see action.

The remaining regular season events will take place on April 29, May 6, June 10, June 17, and June 25.
