How, When To Buy Tickets For UFC 261

It’s been a while since we’ve done a tickets sale post, but now that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is preparing to stage its first live event that will allow fans back in the building in over a year, it’s time to get back to business as usual.

Indeed, UFC President Dana White revealed last week that UFC 261 — which is set to go down on April 24, 2021 in Jacksonville, Fla. — will be hosted in front of a packed house of rabid fans for the first time since March 2020.

Headlining the event will be a Welterweight championship rematch between division king, Kamaru Usman, taking on Jorge Masvidal. “The Nigerian Nightmare” dominated “Gamebred” for five rounds at UFC 251 in July 2020. Now, Masvidal hopes to have a better outing with a full camp under his belt.

In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko will put her women’s Flyweight title on the line when she faces Jessica Andrade. Rounding out the trio of title fights is a women’s Strawweight championship bout between champion Weili Zhang and Rose Namajunas.

Ticket sale schedule is as follows:

Members of UFC Fight Club (join here) can scoop them up this Wednesday (March 24) at 3 p.m. ET, while subscribers to the UFC Newsletter (sign up through UFC.com) can get theirs on Thursday (March 25) starting at 10 a.m. ET. The general public won’t be able to join the party until Friday (March 26) at 10 a.m. ET.

Prices for the tickets were not yet made available.

In further action, Light Heavyweight contenders Jimmy Crute and Anthon Smith will tango in what is sure-to-be a hard-hitting slugfest, while Chris Weidman battles Uriah Hall in a Middleweight affair.
