UFC 262 lineup finalized with 15 bouts for May in Houston

The UFC’s May pay-per-view in Houston as of Wednesday is a jam-packed lineup.

The promotion on Wednesday formally announced the UFC 262 lineup, and it currently sits at 15 fights. UFC 262 is set for May 15 at Toyota Center in Houston. It will be the promotion’s second event to take place in a full arena of fans in the pandemic era after UFC 261 goes down in Jacksonville, Fla., in April.

At the top of the card, former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler (22-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) meets Charles Oliveira (30-8 MMA, 18-8 UFC) for the vacant 155-pound title. In the co-feature, just announced late Tuesday, Nate Diaz (20-12 MMA, 18-11 UFC) takes on Leon Edwards (18-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in the first UFC non-title or non-main event to be scheduled for five rounds.

New additions to the UFC 262 lineup made official by the promotion Wednesday are Kevin Aguilar (17-4 MMA, 2-3 UFC) vs. Tucker Lutz (11-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Mike Grundy (12-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) vs. Lando Vannata (11-5-2 MMA, 3-5-2 UFC), both at lightweight.
