Tyrell Fortune wants Valentin Moldavsky, but Jack May bad blood lives on

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – After Tyrell Fortune finished pounding out Jack May, he stood up and kept the punishment going – verbally.

Fortune (10-1 MMA, 10-1 BMMA) made relatively easy work of Jack May (11-8 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) in their rematch Friday at Bellator 255. Takedowns led to ground-and-pound in the first round and, ultimately, a TKO finish at the 3:16 mark of the frame.

Fortune and May had beef heading into the fight, which was a rematch from a no contest in September 2020. May took the fight on short notice after Matt Mitrione pulled out earlier this week.

After the win, Fortune said the bad blood spilled over after the TKO and made no apologies for that. But going forward, he said he has his eyes on Valentin Moldavsky, who has five straight heavyweight wins since coming to Bellator.
