Bellator 256 pre-event facts: Can Lyoto Machida finally win a rematch?

Bellator’s busy April continues on Friday with Bellator 256, which took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with a main card that aired on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.

The light heavyweight grand prix kicks off in the main event. Ryan Bader (27-6 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) takes on Lyoto Machida (26-10 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) in a quarterfinal contest, which also serves as a rematch from an August 2020 meeting at UFC on FOX 4 that Machida won by second-round knockout.
