Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was forced to make a late change to its UFC Vegas 24 lineup on ESPN after featherweight veteran Ricardo Ramos tested positive for COVID and was pulled from his Bill Algeo fight at APEX on Sat. night (April 17) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s according to MMA Junkie.

The 25 year-old Ramos (14-3) is 5-2 inside the Octagon and looking to rebound from his technical knockout loss to Lerone Murphy at UFC on ESPN 13 back in July 2020. “Carcacinha” has 10 finishes in 14 wins but remains unranked at 145 pounds.

“The test came back positive, unfortunately,” Ramos told MMA Fighting. “Thank God I’m fine and that’s what matters. I have no symptoms, but there’s nothing we can do.”

With just two days before fight night, Algeo (14-5) will return to the sidelines to await his next assignment. No word yet if the promotion plans to rebook these two for a later date or simply find them new opponents as Ramos recovers.
