Former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been defeated by reigning 115-pound titleholder Zhang Weili, as well as former division champion Rose Namajunas, but still considers herself to be “the baddest bitch on the planet.”

Fortunately for Jedrzejczyk, she’ll get the chance to prove it, assuming promotion matchmakers grant her the next title shot. The Polish piston has not competed since her epic war against Weili at UFC 248 back in early 2020.

“I called Mick [Maynard] a few days ago and I just told him ‘you know what the baddest bitch on the planet is back’ so book the fight, watch this fight and tell everybody that I’m next,” Jedrzejczyk told MMA Fighting.

Weili defends her title against Namajunas at the upcoming UFC 261 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place this Sat. night (April 24, 2021) inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., a card headlined by the Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal rematch.

“I want to get the winner of this fight,” Jedrzejczyk continued. “I won’t stop. That’s the thing if I was losing fights by knockout or if I was losing the fights on points and the difference was big but it’s not. I always put on a show and the fights are very close so I want to keep on going.”
