The “Storm” won’t stay “Quiet” on this one.

Longtime UFC strawweight veteran Randa Markos was disqualified for an illegal upkick that sent opponent Luana Pinheiro crashing to the canvas in the first round of their UFC Vegas 25 showdown last weekend in “Sin City.”

But “Quiet Storm” believes the highly-touted Brazilian, who blasted her way into the promotion with a knockout victory over Stephanie Frausto on Dana White’s “Contender Series,” chose to milk the stoppage and take the easy way out.

“I’ve been in the fight game for a while now. I’ve never intentionally thrown a illegal blow,” Markos told her Instagram followers. “It’s a fight, shit is bound to happen. I took three eye pokes (requiring stitches and loss of vision) and never thought for a second that I wasn’t going to continue. I had such a good camp and was ready to showcase my skills for the greatest fight promotion in the world. Yes my foot grazed her but that my opponent’s Inability to continue seemed a bit oversold and suspect. I let her know after the eye poke that I wasn’t leaving that cage without a win and she stole that from me. I’m excited about whatever is next. I have a ton of heart in me that needs to be let out. Thank you to everyone that helped me with this camp. I love you all and I’ll be back soon #ufc #quietstorm #mma #easywayout #littlebitch.”

Markos, who turns 36 in August, has now lost four straight and five of her last six, leaving her with a losing record at 10-11-1. Pinheiro, 27, improved her winning streak to seven in a row, though I doubt she’ll take any pleasure in her May 1 victory.

No word yet on whether or not the promotion plans to book a rematch between Markos and Pinheiro, but considering where both fighters sit in the 115-pound weight class, it certainly wouldn’t hold up the division if matchmakers wanted to run it back.
