Reyes Reacts To KO Loss At UFC Vegas 25

UFC light heavyweight bruiser Dominick Reyes was knocked out by Jiri Prochazka in the UFC Vegas 25 main event last weekend in “Sin City,” his third straight loss and second by way of knockout, but it sounds like “The Devastator” is taking things in stride.

A $50,000 bonus can have that effect on a fighter.

“Finally home and surrounded by those I love, I’d like to say, I went out there and fought with all my heart,” Reyes wrote on Instagram. “I put it all out there and I’m glad it was entertaining for most of you. I’m happy and upset as you can imagine as I didn’t get the desired outcome. But I went out and fought and for that I can say I’m proud.”

Reyes, 31, dropped to 12-3 with the loss but remains ranked in the Top 5. That said, he’s going to have to start putting some wins together in a hurry, especially with the way UFC has been parting ways with underperforming athletes in recent weeks.

“I love this game and at times it does not love me back but that’s what we have all signed up for,” Reyes continued. “I want to say I’m doing good healing up I’ll be okay. And congrats to [Prochazka]. Hell of a fight and what an elbow! It’s the ones you don’t see coming that get you. God bless you all and I’ll see you guys at the next one.”

A timeline for “The Devastator’s” return has yet to be established.
