Ketlen Vieira vs. Sara McMann 2 in the works for UFC Fight Night on Aug. 28

Top-10 UFC bantamweights Ketlen Vieira and Sara McMann will look to rebound when they run things back in August.

Vieira (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) meets McMann (12-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Aug. 28, which doesn’t currently have a location or venue.

A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie on Friday but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. MMA Fighting was first to report the news.

The pair initially faced off at UFC 215 in September 2017, when then undefeated Vieira notched her first promotional finish by submitting McMann with a second-round arm-triangle choke. Vieira went on to alternate wins and losses in her next four appearances, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Yana Kunitskaya in February.

McMann also has seen mixed results in the octagon as of late. After winning three straight, including back-to-back submissions over Alexis Davis and Gina Mazany, the former title challenger has lost three of her past four, most recently a third-round submission to current title challenger Julianna Pena at UFC 257 in January.
