Will the UFC allow ‘Cowboy’ to ride again? UFC president Dana White spoke with TSN on Monday to discuss Donald Cerrone’s fighting future.

Another fight for Donald Cerrone, and another loss. It’s been nothing but defeat for “Cowboy” over the past two years, unless you count that draw / No Contest against Niko Price which didn’t look very good for Donald either.

A 0-5-1 record would send most fighters out of the UFC, but Cerrone is a special case. He’s spent years stepping up when the UFC needed last minute replacements, and he did something similar in this last loss, staying on the card when his original opponent Diego Sanchez fell out.

He ended up facing a younger, heavier, more dangerous opponent in Alex Morono, and Morono TKO’d him with 20 seconds left in the first round.

“I dunno, man. I don’t know what to answer you on, ‘Is it that time?’” Cerrone said after the fight. “I don’t feel like it. But how I feel and how I perform are two different things. It sucks. I wanted to go back to 155 pounds. These boys at 170 hit hard, they’re big boys. But no excuses, man.”

“There’s no way I’d end like this,” Cerrone added. “Couldn’t let my legacy end like this. Buy yeah, [I’ll] call the boss and say, ‘Hey it’s been a rough couple of years, but when it’s time let me bow out right.’”

Well, the call has been made and the boss has answered. Dana White recently spoke to TSN and here’s what he said about “Cowboy’s” future.

“So Cowboy, again, steps up,” White said. “Diego falls out of the fight, he steps up and takes a last minute replacement, co-main event. What he wants to do, he accepted this Diego fight and they both agreed to fight at 170. He wants to move down to 155 and get another fight, and I’m going to let him do that.”

When asked if this would be the last fight if Cerrone loses again, White simply said “Yes. Yes.”

So what do you think Maniacs … who should Cerrone face at 155 for what could be his final dance?
