Julie Kedzie previews Invicta on AXS TV, details how to watch the event

Ahead of Invicta FC’s debut on AXS TV, color commentator Julie Kedzie previewed the card.

A pair of title fights will headline Friday’s Invicta on AXS TV event, which takes place at the Police Athletic League in Kansas City, Kan. The two-hour main card will air on AXS TV at 8 p.m. ET.

The entire event will also be free and available on Invicta FC’s YouTube channel, allowing for the card to be accessed by fans worldwide.

“Shannon’s always had that kind of intention,” Kedzie told MMA Junkie Radio. “From show one, she wanted to make it an accessible event. She wanted people to be able to see the fighters perform, see the athletes in action. It’s important for sponsorship, and it’s just important for their fans and developing a fan base.

“I know that she always thinks about everything, Shannon’s kind of a brilliant genius. But really making it accessible to the people at home, especially the loyal people to the Invicta crew is – and we love it. We love being able to interact with people and we love being able to continue going on and sharing the show with people.”

In the main event, Karina Rodriguez (8-4) will take on Daiana Torquato (10-3) for the vacant flyweight title, which was relinquished by Vanessa Porto when she signed with Bellator. In the night’s co-main event, atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella (8-2) will seek her first title defense when she faces Jessica Delboni (10-2).
