Aviv Gozali proud to pick up Bellator 259 win for Israel amidst conflict

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Aviv Gozali spent his training camp on Long Island but says he still felt the impact of what’s going on in his home country.

As he walked to the cage draped in the Israeli flag, Gozali (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) readied for his first fight since October. Against Sean Felton (5-3-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA), an opponent who was not afraid to try mind games at Thursday’s ceremonial faceoffs, Gozali pulled off another quick heel hook submission.

After the fight, Gozali explained how much representing his country meant to him and the mental challenges he encountered during his training camp. He also spoke on what he thinks is next for him and reflected on Friday’s performance.
