UFC Fight Night 188 medical suspensions: Rob Font among seven facing 180 days

Several fighters, including headliner Rob Font, could be looking at up to 180 days on the sidelines after UFC Fight Night 188.

Font battered former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in a unanimous decision win, but must have X-rays on his right tibia, fibula, ankle and foot before getting cleared to compete again.

On Tuesday, MMA Junkie acquired a full list of the UFC Fight Night 188 medical suspensions handed out by the Nevada Athletic Commission from MixedMartialArts.com, the Association of Boxing Commission’s official record keeper.

Also potentially facing six months on the shelf are main card fighters Justin Tafa, who needs clearance on his left hand; Felicia Spencer, who needs an MRI on her right knee; and Ricardo Ramos, who must have a right wrist MRI and right ankle X-ray.

Rounding off the 180-day suspension list is newcomer Chris Barnett, who needs an MRI on his right knee; Bruno Silva, who needs an X-ray on his right hand; and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke, who must have bilateral lamina papyracea fractures cleared.
