Jake Paul: Tyron Woodley ‘will be dropped by a Disney teen star in 2 rounds’

In his sternest test to date, Jake Paul expects to make quick work of former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

It was announced Tuesday that Paul is set to fight Woodley in a 190-pound boxing bout with 10-ounce gloves on Aug. 28.

The YouTube sensation took to Instagram to acknowledge Woodley’s accolades but is confident that he will put him away early, just like he did to his teammate, Ben Askren.

“Tyron ran his mouth a little too much in the locker room when I knocked out his best friend Ben and earned himself a top spot on the Problem Child death list,” Paul wrote. “Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best MMA fighters in the world but will be dropped by a Disney teen star in 2 rounds.”

Knocking out Woodley doesn’t figure to be an easy task, considering he’s been knocked out only once in 27 professional MMA fights. In a statement to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Woodley said he can’t wait to get his hands on Paul.

“Easiest fight of my career and biggest purse of my career all in one night,” Woodley said. “Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b*tch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”

Woodley, 39, fought out his UFC contract and was not re-signed by the promotion after losing his fourth consecutive fight at UFC 260, a first-round submission to Vicente Luque.

Woodley got the fight he called for after getting into a backstage confrontation with Paul and pro boxer J’Leon Love, who was part of Paul’s entourage during the Askren fight. Woodley will not only get an opportunity to avenge his teammate’s loss but get one back for the MMA community in the process.
