Watch Vettori Ambush Adesanya In Hotel Lobby

Reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya had a surprise visit from No. 3-ranked title contender Marvin Vettori, and “The Last Stylebender” looked about as happy to see “The Italian Dream” as Dana White did to see Colby Covington at the blackjack table.

Adesanya will defend his 185-pound strap against Vettori in the UFC 263 pay-per-view (PPV) main event on Sat. night (June 12, 2021) inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, a rematch from their UFC on FOX 29 showdown that ended in favor of the champion.

Here’s their conversation:

Vettori: “Where’s my belt?”

Adesanya: “What belt?”

Vettori: “My belt!”

Adesanya: “You got a Gucci belt don’t you?”

Vettori: “No, no belt yet.”

Adesanya: “Yeah, you should get one.”

Vettori: “I’m about to get mine. I’m getting yours brother.”

Adesanya: “You’re not getting mine.”

Vettori: “I’m getting yours my friend!”

Adesanya: “You’re not my friend.”

Vettori is no stranger to hotel confrontations.

Depending on how the UFC 263 main event unfolds, Adesanya could move on to rematch former champion Robert Whittaker at the end of the year, or complete his trilogy with “The Italian Dream.” Either way, this thirsty contender will have to stay busy until then.
