Sean Strickland is not a fan of people talking trash over the internet.
Recently, Strickland made waves after he posted a video of an altercation that occurred in a grappling session with Abu Dhabi Combat Club champion Orlando Sanchez. In the video, Sanchez quickly tied up Strickland’s arm, which instantly infuriated the UFC middleweight.
Strickland flipped out and struck Sanchez, who remained calm while trying to explain himself. Apparently, some people on the internet did not like how Strickland handled himself at that moment, and have been sending him messages online.
In response, Strickland took to Instagram on Monday while in line at (or maybe just stopped next to) a Starbucks drive-thru to deliver an expletive-filled rant.
“Listen, you guys running your f*cking mouth, if you were to see me in person and come say that sh*t to me, I would smack you in the f*cking face,” Strickland said. “Let’s say you’re not cool like Orlando, let’s say you’re a d*ck, and you get mad, and you put your hands up, not like Orlando, I would continue to hit you in the f*cking face.”
“I’m a cage fighter,” Strickland continued. “This is what I f*cking do. I like to hurt people. Don’t be shocked at what I did. Be shocked at yourself. ”
While it is unclear exactly to whom or which comment Strickland is responding to in this video, apparently someone pressed “send” on a message or two that did not sit well with him, even though he received support in many comment sections where the video of the training incident was shared.
To wrap up the rant, Strickland issued a challenge to anyone brave enough to step from behind the keyboard and meet him face to face with the same energy – and he wants them to bring their kids along too.
“Matter of fact, if you want to run your f*cking mouth, (but) not on the internet, you should come up to me, do it in person, and bring your f*cking kids,” Strickland challenged. “So after I smack you in the mouth, they can watch me smack their f*cking coward father, and maybe they can learn a lesson and not be a b*tch like you.”
“Stay off the internet. Stop running your f*cking mouth.”
