‘Violent Bob Ross’ Accused Of Punching Girlfriend

UFC’s Luis Pena a.k.a “Violent Bob Ross” faces allegations of violence after being arrested and charges on multiple counts.

New details have emerged surrounding UFC fighter Luis Pena’s arrest on charges of battery and robbery.

The charges against Pena stem from an alleged domestic violence incident on June 14, according to MMA Fighting. Pena’s girlfriend of one year accused The Ultimate Fighter alum of punching her and breaking her phone.

“When police in Boca Raton, Fla., were called to the woman’s residence on a domestic disturbance call, she said she had just engaged in a physical altercation with Pena after he accused her of looking at other men on Instagram, grabbed her phone and destroyed it, according to a domestic probable cause affidavit in Palm Beach County (Fla.),” the publication writes.

Pena, 27, is currently being held at Broward Country (Fla.) main jail while awaiting a bond hearing on three charges: robbery by sudden snatching, battery and criminal mischief. Pena’s hearing is delayed due to COVID-9 restrictions and the fact that he was detained in a county different than where the alleged crime occurred.

“An accusation is not worth the piece of paper it’s printed on,” Daniel Martinez, Pena’s attorney, told MMA Fighting. “Nobody was there. There’s no evidence. It’s just person A’s rendition versus person B’s… Accusations are accusations. Evidence is evidence.

“I don’t think anybody wants to see Luis go to jail,” Martinez added. “I think that [people] sometimes have disagreements, misunderstandings, and anybody can say anything about anyone. I can say you punched me in the face. Doesn’t make it true, brother.”

Pena (9-3) has alternated wins-and-losses in his last four fights beating Alex Munoz and Steve Garcia but falling short to Khama Worthy and Matt Frevola.
