Video: Former Glory kickboxer, Bellator fighter Joe Schilling knocks out man in bar confrontation

Video emerged on Monday morning of Joe Schilling violently knocking out a man in a bar.

The former Glory kickboxer and Bellator fighter was caught on camera knocking out cold a man with two punches after the man bumped into him in an establishment. It’s unknown when or where exactly the incident took place. It’s also unknown whether or not police got involved.

In the video, you can see Schilling walk up behind the man and then getting bumped into by the man who’s looking in the opposite direction. It appears the man said something to Schilling, which caused the combat sports veteran to turn around. Soon after the man got face-to-face with Schilling before receiving a right hook that put him unconscious.

In a brief statement on Instagram, the 37-year-old middleweight posted claimed the strikes were on “self defense” after experiencing a “life threatening” situation with the man. Schilling also hashtagged the post with “f*ck racists.”

Schilling rose to fame in combat sports, fighting in both MMA and kickboxing. Most notably he competed for Bellator from 2014 to 2019, compiling a record of 3-3. He also fought for Glory Kickboxing for three years, where he was crowned winner of the 2013 Glory middleweight world championship tournament.
