John de Jesus calls out Adam Borics – and has words for Aaron Pico, too

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – It’s been more than seven months since John De Jesus lost to Aaron Pico, but it’s still stuck in his craw.

De Jesus (14-9 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) beat John Teixeira (23-6-2 MMA, 6-4 BMMA) with a split decision to close out the Bellator 261 preliminary card Friday. And afterward, he said Pico’s comments after a second-round knockout this past November still bother him.

Not only that, but de Jesus found time to call out Adam Borics for a featherweight fight. Borics has been rolling with three straight wins. Now the question will be whether de Jesus can get a fight with Borics – and string together the kinds of wins that might one day lead to a rematch with Pico.

Bellator 261 took place Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The main card aired on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
