Rejuvenated from the time off, Miesha Tate is looking to present a new version of herself in her return.

After retiring from MMA almost four years ago, the former Strikeforce and UFC women’s bantamweight champion will make her return to the octagon when she takes on Marion Reneau at UFC on ESPN 26 on July 17.

Ahead of her comeback, Tate (18-7 MMA, 5-4 UFC) has provided an inside look at her fight-camp preparation, her mindset going into the fight and much more. In the video above, check out episode No. 1 of her vlog, in which she goes through some strength and conditioning training at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, as well as some intense pad drills at her home gym, Xtreme Couture.

“I used to go so hard, and I used to put myself under so much stress and now I’m like, ‘What if I got rid of all that? What if I don’t need that to be better? What if I don’t have to get through all these big moments of adversity before the fight? What if I just had the fight? What if? ‘Marion Reneau is going to be the first woman to find out. She’ll be the first woman to really fight the Miesha Tate that I believe I could have been all along, but it’s better late than never. I’m not out of this game, so I’m happy for the comeback.”

In the video below, check out episode No. 2 of Tate’s vlog, in which she pushes her cardio and works on her ground game under the eye of Jake Shields.
