Mac Attack! Poirier & Family Targeted On Twitter

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor recently tweeted — then deleted — a disturbing attack on lightweight rival Dustin Poirier, which included photos of “The Diamond” and his daughter followed by the word “gonezo.”

“Gonezo” is like “goner,” it means a person is doomed or finished.

Poirier fans may recognize the photo McGregor used of Dustin and his daughter, Parker, because “The Diamond” recently posted that very same pic to celebrate his long-awaited return to Lafayette, Louisiana.

McGregor also continued to take potshots at Poirier’s wife, Jolie.

“Hey you guys! I don’t want to associate any negativity with my foundation so I’d like to take this chance to apologize for Dustin’s wife trying to message me privately on Instagram,” McGregor wrote in an attempt to further this obscene narrative.

McGregor lost his trilogy fight against Poirier after breaking his leg in the UFC 264 pay-per-view (PPV) headliner back on July 10 in Las Vegas, a chaotic finish that left the Irishman screaming for vengeance.

Whether or not McGregor gets the opportunity to avenge that loss remains to be seen, but it doesn’t sound like UFC President Dana White is a fan of the “Notorious” trash talk.

“I don’t like that,” White said during the UFC 264 post-fight press conference. “Yeah, that’s not good. Leave people’s families and wives and all that stuff out of it. Family has nothing to do with it.”

Poirier has yet to respond.
