Tai Shoey-Vasa Gets ‘Fight Motion’ Treatment

I’ve seen worse post-fight celebrations, like BJ Penn licking the blood of Diego Sanchez from his UFC gloves, but that doesn’t make the “Shoey” any easier to stomach. I like beer and I like shoes, but if they came together in some random street mishap — think peanut butter and chocolate — I would simply dry off my kicks and order another round.

I know that makes me a wuss, at least according to the dopey bro brigade who sniffs the underside of the Internet for the scent of beta males, but no amount of peer pressure will compel me to endure the taste of another man’s feet. And I paid beaucoup bucks for an authentic beer stein in Oberhausen; dammit, I’m gonna use it.

For those of you who do enjoy the Shoey ritual, UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa is featured prominently in the UFC 264 “Fight Motion” video. You won’t get to see ghost cam footage of his first-round knockout win over embattled bruiser Greg Hardy, but you can watch his sneaker game in super slow motion.

Yuck.

Also getting some airtime in the latest “Fight Motion” entry is the lightweight main event between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, which ended by way of broken leg — and a lot of profanity. Unfortunately all we got in the video above was a couple of missed punches and a “vicious” elbow from the bottom.
