UFC Vegas 32 fighter Andre Ewell should audition for the next Superman flick after this alleged feat of strength.

Some fighters hit like a truck, but UFC Vegas 32’s Andre Ewell can stop a moving car with one hand.

Ewell (17-7) tells MMAMania.com about his Superman moment ahead of his high with Julio Arce (16-4) at UFC Vegas 32, taking place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV on Sat., July 24 on ESPN+. The story starts, according to Ewell, on a sidewalk in Sacramento after grabbing a bite at Denny’s with his cousin, and his friend.

“We’re walking on the sidewalk,” Ewell begins. “I see a car ready to ram it through. Not ready, it’s going. For some odd reason, it didn’t see us. I moved [my friend] out of the way, stopped the car with my left hand. Planted it. You literally see my handprint on the hood of the car. I left a dent on the situation. For a moment, I thought I stopped the car. Right now, everyone is like, ‘Oh s—t, look! Dre stopped the car. Dre stopped the car.’ I said, ‘Oh, I stopped the car!’ We look up and she’s scared, she almost really got hit by this car. We look up at the driver, an old man about 75-years-old with leather gloves… My arm was pretty jacked for a good two or three weeks on some awkwardness. But the boy stopped the car and these are full facts.“

Ewell and his opponent Arce are both unranked; however, Ewell expects the winner of Saturday’s fight to knock on the door of the featherweight elite.

“I was getting ready to fight a ranked opponent twice. Me and Cody Stamann were supposed to fight,” Ewell says. “I didn’t get clear for my ulna bone that I broke against [Jonathan] Martinez. If they had pushed it back one more week, I would have gotten cleared.

“When I fought [Marlon Vera] ‘Chito’, he got ranked after fighting me,” Ewell continues. “He [Arce] fought Hakeem [Dawodu] and he beat Dan [Ige]… It comes down to me and him are at that edge. We have to make that power move to get us forward. I believe this fight will be the one to push me over or get me a ranked opponent.”

UFC Vegas 32 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV on Sat., July 24. The ESPN+ card is headlined by Cory Sandhagen vs. T.J. Dillashaw in a fight that will likely determine the next contender for the UFC Bantamweight title after Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan 2.
