UFC champion Francis Ngannou is rallying against fight-win contracts and poor judging in mixed martial arts.

Francis Ngannou is hunting for the knockout blow against fighter injustices.

Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion Ngannou is as unfamiliar with judges as this writer is with his own abs, but even he is rallying against the head-scratching judges’ decisions at UFC Vegas 32. Scorecards were all over the place on Saturday night, and Ngannou is rallying fighters disenchanted by the UFC’s show-win pay model and poor judging.

“It’s interesting how we see injustice done to the fighters by some judges, we talk about it, and then move on from it the next day, only to get pissed off again when it happens the next time,” Ngannou tweeted the Monday after UFC Vegas 32, a card rife with controversial or out-right absurd judges’ scorecards. “The fighter has to go home unrewarded with all that frustration — and half of their money — for a job well done. Something needs to be done for these athletes getting robbed on the scorecards.”

Ngannou punctuated his statement with the hashtag, “#JusticeForFighters.”

UFC Vegas 32 took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV on Sat., July 24. The ESPN+ card was headlined by Cory Sandhagen vs. T.J. Dillashaw in a fight that likely determined the next UFC Bantamweight title contender in the aftermath of Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan 2.

Ngannou has been at odds with the UFC over the years due to matchmaking and contracts. Most recently, UFC President Dana White and Ngannou’s manager had a vicious back-and-forth online in the aftermath of the promotion booking Derrick Lewis vs. Ciryl Gane for an Interim Heavyweight title at UFC 265. The event takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX on Sat., Aug. 7 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).
