Aspen Ladd vs. Macy Chiasson rebooked for UFC Fight Night on Oct. 2

The UFC will give the Aspen Ladd vs. Macy Chiasson matchup another try.

After their bout was scrapped just days before UFC on ESPN 27, Ladd’s fight with Chiasson has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night on Oct. 2 in an event that doesn’t yet have a known venue or location.

The matchup was first reported by UFC broadcast partner ESPN Deportes, though the UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

On the eve of the UFC on ESPN 27 weigh-ins, Chiasson (7-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) withdrew from her bout with Ladd and later cited a stress fracture in one of her feet as the cause. The Season 28 “Ultimate Fighter” winner is currently riding a two-fight winning streak with unanimous decision wins over Shanna Young and, most recently, Marion Reneau in March.

Ladd hasn’t competed since a third-round TKO of Yana Kunitskaya in December 2019. The 26-year-old currently holds the No. 3 spot in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings and she’ll look to continue pushing toward her goal of a title shot.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Oct. 2 includes:

  • Thiago Santos vs. Johnny Walker
  • Grant Dawson vs. Diego Ferreira
  • Jared Gordon vs. Joe Solecki
  • Bethe Correia vs. Karol Rosa
  • Fernando Padilla vs. Sean Soriano
  • Douglas Silva de Andrade vs. Gaetano Pirrello
  • Kyle Daukaus vs. Kevin Holland
  • Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill
  • Jamie Mullarkey vs. Devonte Smith
  • Macy Chiasson vs. Aspen Ladd
