UFC 265 took place at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX on Sat., Aug. 7 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). In the main event, Gane scored a third-round technical knockout (TKO) against Derrick Lewis (watch highlights) to capture the Interim Heavyweight crown. The Frenchman played spoiler to hometown hero Lewis in the backyard of “The Black Beast”.

Elsewhere on the card, Aldo defeated Pedro Munhoz by unanimous decision, Vicente Luque scored an impressive first-round submission via d’arce choke (watch here), Tecia Torres swarmed Angela Hill like a tornado and Song Yadong outworked Casey Kenney.
