Video: Volk Grapples With T-City’s Snake

Alex Volkanovski has a new training partner to prepare him for Brian Ortega’s jiu-jitsu.

Alex Volkanovski gets a hand on jiu-jitsu lesson from Brian Ortega’s snake on season 29 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF 29).

Ortega (15-1) continued his prank war against opposite head coach Volkanovski (22-1) on Tuesday’s episode (recap here) of The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) reality competition series. “T-City” called up a friend of his to deliver large snakes to Volkanovski’s dressing room. Volk’s team was startled by the slithering serpents, but Australia’s UFC Featherweight champion played along with the gag.

Volkanovski vs. Ortega headlines UFC 266, taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sat., Sept. 25 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). The card also boasts a UFC Women’s Bantamweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Lauren Murphy, plus the long-awaited return of Nick Diaz vs. Robbie Lawler.
