The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona recently dropped federal charges against YouTube sensation Jake Paul, but the city of Scottsdale is not done with the celebrity boxer just yet.

Paul, 24, is facing misdemeanor charges stemming from his role in the riot at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall back in May 2020, part of a nationwide reaction from punk-ass teenagers citizens protesting the George Floyd case bungled by police in Minneapolis.

The city attorney exercised its right to refile charges after the Feds moved on, according to TMZ, which include criminal trespass and unlawful assembly. If convicted, Paul could face up to a year in the slammer.

Fortunately for the combat sports community, Paul won’t be required to appear in court until after Labor Day, which means his latest legal woes will not interfere with his upcoming boxing match against former UFC champ Tyron Woodley later this month in Cleveland.
