Video: Are Rory MacDonald’s days as an elite MMA fighter over?

Former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald signed with the PFL with aspirations of claiming another title and $1 million prize, but that won’t be happening – at least not in his first season.

MacDonald was ousted from the PFL welterweight playoffs last Friday after he was dominated and shut out on the scorecards by Ray Cooper, who advanced to the final for his third consecutive season. As for MacDonald, he’s just 32, but it’s been a long 16 years of fighting, and he’s now just 1-3 in his past four fights dating back to his run in Bellator, where he once spoke as though he was ready to retire.

The “Canadian Psycho” has given us a ton of highlights during his storied career, but what does the future hold? Are his days as an elite fighter over? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Matthew Wells, Nolan King and Brian “Goze” Garcia weighed in with host John Morgan.
