[Announcement] Introducing r/MMA Prediction Tournaments. Top 3 winners of our first tournament will receive a free PPV for UFC 266!

Hello, r/MMA! We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting our very first prediction tournament this week for UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs Chikadze.

Predictions are a new reddit feature that you may have already seen used in other subreddits. r/movies, for example, hosted a prediction tournament for the Oscars this year. Here is an example image of the process borrowed from their announcement post.

How it works: every participant will be given 1,000 tokens at the start of each tournament. Bet up to 100 tokens on each fight, and receive a portion of the total tokens used in the tournament for your correct predictions! the tournament will be accessible by its own post, as well as a separate tab only visible on New Reddit.

To celebrate our inaugural tournament, the top three winners of the tourney will each receive a PPV buy for UFC 266: Volkanovski vs Ortega, provided by a very kind anonymous r/MMA user.

For the sake of a smooth launch event, we have opted to only include this week’s UFC event in our first tournament, but we intend to include other promotions going forward as well. We are very interested to hear how the community feels about this, so please give us your opinions and feedback!
