Jake Paul is not using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

In fact, the social media influencer-turned-celebrity boxer didn’t even know what PEDs stood for until “MMA guys” started accusing him of doping. Fortunately for Paul, Google was able to educate him on the vernacular of the combat sports community.

“I look at it as a compliment, right? These MMA guys are running out of excuses on why their guys are losing,” Paul told True Geordie. “My manager texted me that Georges St-Pierre’s coach is saying you’re using PEDs. I literally swiped my phone up, went to Safari, and I googled ‘what are PEDs’. I swear to god!”

Paul is gearing up (no pun intended) to fight former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) — available to stream on FITE right here — this Sunday night (Aug. 29, 2021) inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

And the “MMA guys” are doing anything to protect their image.

“These guys are trying to do anything at this point to discredit me, to make me look stupid, to make any excuse,” Paul continued. “The crazy part about it is that dude these are real pro fights. We get drug tested, so how can you even make this claim?”

Paul is 3-0 as a professional boxer with three knockouts while Woodley, a decorated cage fighter, will be making his debut in the “sweet science” this weekend in “Forest City,” earning top billing over world champion pugilists like Amanda Serrano.
