Dana White’s Contender Series 38 weigh-in results: CJ Vergara needs extra hour, but full lineup set

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Monday’s official Dana White’s Contender Series 38 fighter weigh-ins, where all 10 fighters eventually made weight.

Dana White’s Contender Series cards see prospects fighting for the opportunity to sign a UFC deal, with UFC president Dana White on hand to make the decisions.

In the featured bout, 28-year-old Josh Quinlan (5-0) meets late-notice welterweight replacement Logan Urban (5-1), who stepped in for Darian Weeks after Weeks was pulled due to COVID-19 protocols.

The only hiccup on the day was flyweight CJ Vergara (8-2-1), who initially weighed 126.5 pounds on his first attempt. Vergara was given an additional hour at came back at 126 pounds, making his bout with Bruno Korea (12-3-1) official.

The early weigh-ins take place at the UFC host hotel in Las Vegas. The UFC Apex hosts Tuesday’s card, which streams on ESPN+.
