DWCS contract winner Chad Anheliger wants a shot at ‘Ultimate Fighter’ champ Ricky Turcios

LAS VEGAS – After punching his ticket to the UFC, Chad Anheliger is going after Season 29 “Ultimate Fighter” winner Ricky Turcios.

Anheliger (11-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC) edged out Muin Gafurov for his ninth win in a row at Dana White’s Contender Series 38 on Tuesday, cashing in as the betting underdog.

Already holding a win over TUF 29 finalist Brady Hiestand, Canada’s Anheliger thinks Turcios (11-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) needs to get past him to really prove he’s “The Ultimate Fighter.”

“I’m ready to rock right now,” Anheliger said at the post-fight news conference. “I’m 34. I’m not waiting. This is my 16th pro fight, so I’m not some flash in the pan. I don’t need time to develop, so I want right now to fight everybody in the division. I’m ready. I don’t want to wait. I want to fight again this year. There’s a guy who just won ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ but I wasn’t in it, so I don’t know how many asterisks you need to put beside that victory, but Ricky Turcios, I think that would be a great fight.”
