Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. ‘Bombardier’ rescheduled, headlines KSW 64 in October

KSW’s next main event features a battle of behemoths.

Promotion officials today announced that KSW 64 will be headlined by a rescheduled matchup of Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. Senegalese wrestling standout Serigne Ousmane Dia, also known as “Bombardier.” The event takes place Oct. 23 at Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland.

Pudzianowski (15-7) and Dia (2-0) were initially scheduled to meet in March at KSW 59, but appendicitis forced “Bombardier” to withdraw from the contest on the day of the fight. Pudzianowski went on to face late replacement Nikola Milanovic and earned a first-round TKO win. The former five-time strongman champion also picked up a June victory at KSW 61 and now owns a three-fight winning streak.

Meanwhile, the 6-foot-6, 330-pound Dia has fought twice previously as a professional, ending both fights in the opening round. Prior to his MMA run, “Bombardier” was an accomplished Senegalese wrestler.

With the addition to the card, the KSW 64 lineup now includes:

  • Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. Serigne Ousmane Dia
  • Champ Sebastian Przybysz vs. opponent TBA – for bantamweight title
  • Patryk Kaczmarczyk vs. Robert Ruchala
  • Shamil Musaev vs. Michal Pietrzak
  • Karolina Owczarz vs. opponent TBA
  • Cezary Kesik vs. Marcin Krakowiak
  • Albert Odzimkowski vs. Jason Radcliffe
