Video: The good, bad and ugly from Nick Diaz’s return at UFC 266

UFC 266 had two title fights atop the bill, but the pay-per-view event was very much about the return of Nick Diaz, who stepped back in the cage for the first time in six-and-a-half years for a rematch with Robbie Lawler.

The fight didn’t go Diaz’s way as he lost by third-round TKO when he chose not to continue after being dropped to one knee and onto his back by a couple of punches from Lawler. The unexpected conclusion to the fight was the culmination of a bizarre fight week that featured a last-minute division change, a media day no-show, and some head-scratching interviews.

And so, given the good, bad and ugly from the entire week, what was the biggest takeaway from the whole Nick Diaz experience? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Mike Bohn, Nolan King and Brian “Goze” Garcia weighed in on that question with host John Morgan.
