Henry Cejudo actually wants to see more Nick Diaz vs. Robbie Lawler after UFC 266.

Henry Cejudo joins Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White among those eager to see more Nick Diaz after his fight vs. Robbie Lawler at UFC 266.

Diaz vs. Lawler served as a marquee fight at UFC 266, taking place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sat., Sept. 25 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). Lawler defeated Diaz via third-round technical knockout (TKO) via retirement (watch highlights here). Many were critical of Diaz’s preparation in the fight’s aftermath; however, Cejudo actually wants to see a trilogy fight between the two legends.

“I think he should get another crack at Robbie Lawler. I hate throwing the word legend around, but Nick Diaz is a legend. Nick, if you’re watching this, for all the fans I say you make a trilogy,” Cejudo said on the inaugural episode of Triple C & Schmo podcast. “They’re 1-1. The third match seals the deal. I truly believe in my heart with a little more time, Nick Diaz will beat him.”

Diaz and Lawler met for the first time at UFC 47 in April 2004. The Stockton native took the first of their two encounters via second-round knockout (KO).
