Georges St-Pierre is not impressed with Nick Diaz’s performance against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266.

Diaz vs. Lawler (watch highlights here) aired on the main card of UFC 266, which took place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sat., Sept. 25 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). Lawler won the fight via third-round technical knockout (TKO) after Diaz refused to continue. St-Pierre was in attendance for the fight and even met with his former rival Diaz. In a new interview, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship Welterweight and Middleweight titleholder shared his thoughts on Diaz’s comeback after a seven-year hiatus.

“It was a tough night for him because he came back after six or seven years,” St-Pierre told Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole (h/t SportsKeeda). “It was a long, long time.

“Nobody can come back as good as they were before, after that much time. I’m under the impression that Nick left a lot of money on the table, unfortunately for him, because maybe his best years are behind him. For sure he was rusty.”

St-Pierre (26-2) successfully defended his UFC Welterweight title against Diaz (26-10-0-2) via unanimous decision at UFC 158, which took place inside the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec on Sat., March 16, 2013.
