I Can Slam Little Kid’ Jake Paul ‘Through The Concrete’

Jorge Masvidal says Jake Paul is a cakewalk in a one-on-one fight.

Jorge Masvidal vs. Jake Paul will not happen anytime soon in a professional capacity, but the Baddest Motherf**ker (BMF) titleholder says the YouTuber-turned-boxer can get it.

Masvidal and Paul started trading barbs in the media in the leadup to Paul’s Showtime boxing pay-per-view (PPV) headliner against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (watch highlights). While Masvidal (35-15, MMA) is more focused on fighting the UFC elite, he says Paul (4-0, boxing) can get it one day.

“He knows at the end of the day, on a face-to-face, he can’t say any of that,” Masvidal told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s episode of The MMA Hour (h/t Mirror.co.uk). “Unless he has his 50 bodyguards and I’m by myself. Because at the end of the day I can always pick this little kid up and slam him through the concrete so hard that he will be invalid for the rest of his life.

“Right now, where I’m at in my career, I’m gonna fight the world’s best fighters in the world,” Masvidal said. “We can both agree that they’re in the f—king UFC. In 170 pounds there’s a lot of good guys and I could f—king beat them. Those other options will always be there. But right now while I’m in my prime, I gotta do things that people in their prime do and that’s fight the world’s best. He’s not in that conversation or ever will be.”

Masvidal is scheduled to fight welterweight contender Leon Edwards (see betting odds) at UFC 269, scheduled for Sat., Dec. 12, 2021 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada via ESPN+ PPV. Paul is reportedly finalizing a boxing bout with Tommy Fury for late 2021.
