UFC 268 weigh-in video: Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington on mark for title rematch

One of the most anticipated title rematches in recent memory is official for the UFC 268 main event.

Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington successfully hit the welterweight limit ahead of Saturday’s championship bout, locking in the second encounter between the two at Madison Square Garden. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPNNews and ESPN+.

Usman (19-1 MMA, 14-0 UFC) was first to the scale, coming in at 169 pounds as he attempts to make a fifth consecutive title defense. Covington (16-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) came in top shape in his opportunity to derail Usman’s reign, as he tipped the scale at 169.4 about 35 minutes into the two-hour window.

UFC 268 official weigh-ins took place Friday morning at the UFC host hotel in Manhattan.

Usman will attempt to once again deny Covington of gold. The first meeting between the two went down at UFC 245 in December 2019, with Usman retaining the gold with a fifth-round TKO.

Covington has been pushing for a rematch ever since, with claims ranging from the initial fight being stopped early to thinking he was wronged by referee Marc Goddard. Nearly two years later, he finally gets his chance.
