Felipe Lima is hoping to join teammate Khamzat Chimaev on the UFC roster after Saturday.

Originally scheduled to face Darko Banovic, Lima (10-1) will now face Evgeny Odnorog for the inaugural bantamweight title in the main event of Fight Club Rush 10, which takes place in Vasteras, Sweden, and streams on UFC Fight Pass.

Since dropping his pro debut, the 23-year-old Brazilian has won 10 straight, most recently defeating Fernando Flores by unanimous decision at Fight Club Rush 8.

So with a title win over an experienced opponent like Odnorog (21-6), Allstars Gym’s Lima is aiming to get on the UFC’s radar.

“He’s a very big talent,” Allstars Training Center owner Majdi Shammas told MMA Junkie. “He’s a hard worker, and this kid will go far. I believe he has the potential. Right now, he’s top 10 in the UFC without a doubt.”

Chimaev recently made a pitch for his teammate, posting a promo with UFC president Dana White and matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard tagged in the video.
