KSW 65 set for Dec. 18; headliner billed as ‘biggest fight in the history’ of promotion

In what promotion officials are calling “one of the biggest fights ever in Europe,” KSW middleweight champ Mamed Khalidov will face welterweight champion Roberto Soldic on Dec. 18.

The contest serves as the main event of KSW 65, which takes place at Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland. The event streams live on KSWTV.com.

A 17-year veteran, Khalidov (35-7-2) has long been known as one of the most talented middleweights competing outside of the UFC, boasting career victories over the likes of Scott Askham, Luke Barnatt, Kendall Grove, James Irvin, Matt Lindland, Melvin Manhoef, Jorge Santiago and Jesse Taylor, among others. In October 2020, Khalidov scored a 36-second knockout of Askham to claim the KSW middleweight title for a second time.

Meanwhile, Soldic (19-3) moves up a division in hopes of claiming champ-champ status. “Robocop” currently carries a six-fight winning streak and is 13-1 in his past 14 appearances. A devastating striker, 16 of Soldic’s 19 career wins have come by knockout.

In addition to the night’s headliner, the co-feature all sees a title on the line as Brazil’s Daniel Torres (12-4) seeks the first defense of his belt when he competes in a rematch against the main he beat to take the belt, France’s Salahdine Parnasse (15-1-1).

Torres scored a surprising first-round knockout of Parnasse at January’s KSW 58, handing the former champion his first loss as a professional.
