Video: Is Sergio Pettis the front runner for 2022 Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix?

Sergio Pettis didn’t have the easiest day at the office in the main event of Bellator 272, but he still got the job done.

Pettis took care of business after being pushed hard by former Bellator champ Kyoji Horiguchi. However, Pettis was able to recognize he was down on the scorecards and went on to record one of the most spectacular knockouts of the year to retain his bantamweight title.

Bellator announced an incredible lineup for its upcoming 8-man bantamweight grand prix, with Pettis being a part of the mix. The bracket isn’t set yet, but talented opponents await such as Raufeon Stots, Patch Mix, Magomed Magomedov, and the man he just got by in Horiguchi.

Considering the hurdles Pettis had to overcome at Friday’s event, is he odds on favorite to retain the belt all the way through the tournament?

Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Nolan King, Matthew Wells, and “Gorgeous” George Garcia discuss this topic with host John Morgan.

Check out the discussion in the clip above and watch this week’s full episode in the video below.
