Phil Hawes vs. Andre Petroski added to FURY Grappling 3 on Dec. 30

A pair of UFC middleweights will grapple at 205 pounds at next week’s FURY Grappling 3 event.

Promotion officials revealed that Phil Hawes vs. Andre Petroski is the latest addition to the card, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass on Thursday, Dec. 30 from 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Hawes (11-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) scored his UFC contract through a victory on Dana White’s Contender Series and then rattled off three consecutive wins over Jacob Malkoun, Nassourdine Imavov and Kyle Daukaus. In November, he saw that streak come to a surprising end against underdog Chris Curtis. A former Division I wrestler and junior college national champion, “Megatron” will now try to close out the year on a high note.

Petroski (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) made his way to the UFC through “The Ultimate Fighter 29,” where he advanced to the semifinals of the season’s competition before losing to eventual tournament winner Bryan Battle. Still, Petroski was invited to compete on the live finale, where he scored a third-round TKO win over Micheal Gillmore. A Daniel Gracie product, Petroski followed that up with a third-round submission win over Hu Yaozong at October’s UFC 267.

With the addition, the FURY Professional Grappling 3 lineup includes:

  • Rose Namajunas vs. Danielle Kelly
  • Sean Brady vs. Craig Jones
  • Clay Guida vs. Billy Quarantillo
  • Chase Hooper vs. Renato Moicano
  • Steve Mowry vs. Nicky Rodriguez
  • Kevin Holland vs. Kody Hamrah
  • Neil Magny vs. Joaquim Silva
  • Eddy Torres vs. Alex Caceres
  • Phil Hawes vs. Andre Petroski
