Ex-UFC fighter Yorgan De Castro targeted to meet Shaun Asher at Eagle FC 44 on Jan. 28

Another former UFC fighter has signed with Eagle FC.

Yorgan De Castro (7-3) is expected to meet Shaun Asher (13-4-1) at Eagle FC 44, which takes place Jan. 28 at FLXcast Arena in Miami and streams live on the FLXcast app.

De Castro confirmed the news on social media after an initial report from Cageside Press.

De Castro has signed a multifight deal with Eagle FC. The ex-UFC fighter rebounded from a three-fight losing skid with a unanimous decision win over Danyelle Williams at CES 65 in November. His lone octagon win came in his promotional debut, when he scored a “Performance of the Night” knockout of Justin Tafa at UFC 243.

Asher is coming off a first-round stoppage loss to Steve Mowry at Bellator 257 in April in what was his promotional debut. Prior to that, the 42-year-old  scored a split decision win over Garrett Olson and a second-round TKO of Anthony Trotter.

With the addition to the card, the Eagle FC 44 lineup now includes:
