Anthony Pettis’ Showtime FC set to debut on Feb. 11, main event booked

Showtime FC is ready to roll.

The MMA promotion of former UFC champion Anthony Pettis is set to make its debut on Feb. 11 at the Jenkins Arena in Lakeland, Fla. The event, along with future Showtime FC cards in 2022, will stream exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

Promotion officials announced on Saturday the booking of featherweights Jacob Kilburn and Lucas Alexander for the main event of Showtime FC 1.

Kilburn (8-5) has competed on notable stages such as the UFC, PFL and Dana White’s Contender Series. “The Killer” fought in the UFC twice, losing to Billy Quarantillo and Austin Lingo. Meanwhile, Alexander (6-2) is looking to extend his winning streak to five in a row. The 26-year-old trains out of Rio de Janeiro,.

Pettis (24-11) is one of few notable fighters that has decided to venture into fight promotion while still competing. The 34-year-old is still active in his fighting career, competing under the PFL banner. He last fought in June, losing a split decision to eventual 2021 PFL lightweight champion Raush Manfio.
