Video: UFC 270 will see two titles change hands … or … maybe not?

The first UFC pay-per-view of the year has two title fights Saturday, and each has a killer back story.

Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou (16-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) takes on interim champ Ciryl Gane (10-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) in the main event. The two happen to be former training partners, and there’s no shortage of drama and potential bad blood in the build-up.

And in the co-feature, flyweight champ Brandon Moreno (19-5-2 MMA, 7-2-2 UFC) meets ex-champ Deiveson Figueiredo (20-2-1 MMA, 9-2-1 UFC) in a trilogy fight. They’re fighting for the third straight time in a little more than 400 days. They fought to a draw in their first title fight when Figueiredo had the belt. Then Moreno submitted him in their rematch.

The betting odds aren’t exactly blowouts at Tipico. Gane is a -155 favorite over Ngannou and Moreno is -180 against Figueiredo.

But when we asked our “Spinning Back Clique” panelists of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn and Matthew Wells if they think both titles will change hands, or just one – or none – they were thrown for a bit of a loop. Essentially, all bets are off for those three when it comes to figuring things out in advance – and that could mean we’re in for a pair of great fights to end the night.

You can watch their discussion with host John Morgan in the video above and check out this week’s full episode below.
