UFC books Nick Maximov vs. Andre Petroski for May 14 event
Nick Maximov is back on the UFC’s books.
At the UFC Fight Night event May 14, Maximov (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will partake in his third promotional outing when he battles “The Ultimate Fighter,” Season 29 alumnus Andre Petroski (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in a three-round middleweight bout. The event doesn’t currently have a publicly-known location or venue.
Both fighters verified the matchup on social media.
Maximov, 24, is a Diaz Brothers protege and brings a high-level grappling arsenal to the cage. Thus far in his UFC tenure, he’s won two decisions, one each against Cody Brundage and Punahele Soriano respectively.
As for Petroski, the Renzo Gracie Philly brings a similar promotional resume to the matchup. Also 2-0 in his UFC tenure, Petroski won his debut via unanimous decision against Micheal Gillmore before he defeated Hu Yaozong by third-round arm triangle choke.
