Bellator 276 home fight just fine for Julius Anglickas on path back to title contention

ST. LOUIS – Julius Anglickas has a home fight Saturday, but the stakes are a lot higher than the last time he fought in such friendly territory.

Anglickas (10-2 MMA, 3-1 BMMA), who fought for Bellator’s light heavyweight title and came up short this past fall, takes on former champion Phil Davis (23-6 MMA, 10-3 BMMA) in the Bellator 276 co-main event. The fight takes place in his home town just 15 minutes from where he lives, and a win could have him right back in line for another shot at the belt.

Anglickas spoke to MMA Junkie and other media members at Thursday’s Bellator 276 media day in St. Louis. Anglickas talked about the hometown fight, his fight against Davis, the title picture and more.

Check out the portions of Anglickas’ interview in the video above.

Bellator 276 takes place Saturday at Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. The main card airs on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
